There's a good reason why it's called a mountain bike! It goes uphill, through spruce forests over alpine meadows to the high mountainous terrain. Mountain bikers pedal on forest roads, alpine trails and rocky trails. A popular bike tour: from Scena up to the Gompn Alm. Excellent food awaits you here, and sometimes a concert for bikers. If you want to go even higher, you can take the cable car to the Merano 2000 hiking area.
Spectacular trails with beautiful views begin here. Fortunately, the bike season is extra long where we are. From March to November, mild temperatures and a lot of sunshine attract. The diverse cycle path network around Scena extends through the most varied landscapes: from the Mediterranean valley locations up to the rugged mountain peaks. Whether on a mountain bike, e-bike or racing bike: the tours offer a unique cycling experience, from flat routes to single trails in the high alpine region.

If you want to avoid too much vertical climb: From Scena, three cable cars bring bikers up to the Hirzer, Taser or Merano 2000. This lift saves you demanding vertical meters so you can still tackle fantastic mountain tours. If you want to use electronic support: You can easily rent e-bikes at the bike stations in Scena.
Our tip:
Start straight from the Winzerhöhe.
First on asphalt, then on the forest road towards Streitweideralm - where you can sustain yourself with really delicious cakes. Then continue over the idyllic mountain hamlet Vidacqua to Talla and then down again (total approx. 5 hours, a 900 m ascent). If that's not enough for you, you can continue on your bike to the alpine pastures in the Hirzer area.
